New this year, a farm animal has been selected to become the Fergus Fall Fair mascot. The mascot represents the traditions and agricultural roots of the Fergus Agricultural Society and offers fair visitors an exciting and engaging experience.
Introducing the 2026 Fergus Fall Fair Mascot
Meet Pearl, a sweet 16-year-old Percheron horse and the first-ever mascot of the Fergus Fall Fair.
Standing at more than 1.8 metres tall and weighing in at one tonne, Pearl is hard to miss.
But don’t let her impressive size fool you – she’s truly a gentle giant with a sweet and friendly personality.
Known as “my girl Pearl” to her owner Sarah, the pair enjoy riding around the farm, waving to people in community parades and participating in local horse shows.
Meet Pearl in person
During the 189th Fergus Fall Fair on September 18 to 20, Pearl will be available for meet and greets so be sure to say hello, give her a scratch and snap a photo.
Whether you’re a lifelong horse lover or you’ve never seen a Percheron up close, Pearl is looking forward to meeting you!
Find her in the new “Meet the Mascot” area near the main admission gate during these times:
September 18 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
September 19 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
September 20 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
